After The Atlantic published a bombshell story that alleged — citing four anonymous sources — that President Donald Trump had repeatedly mocked US soldiers killed in battle and skipped a visit to a veterans’ cemetery in France out of concern that rainy conditions would mess up his carefully coiffed hair, Trump responded with a tweet attacking the owner of the magazine, Steve Jobs’ widow Laurene Powell Jobs.
“Steve Jobs would not be happy that his wife is wasting money he left her on a failing Radical Left Magazine that is run by a con man (Goldberg) and spews FAKE NEWS & HATE. Call her, write her, let her know how you feel!!!”, Trump tweeted.
A tweetstorm ensued right after.
„I knew Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs was someone I covered a lot over his long and remarkable career. And beside you being no Steve Jobs by a country mile, let me assure you Steve Jobs would be thrilled that his money was being used upend grifters and hypocrites. Thrilled.“, tweeted tech journalist Kara Swisher.
„Ok so why speak for Steve Jobs, he died and his money was passed to his wife, she can spend it any way she wants and your essentially telling people to harass her over the way she spends her money“, added Twiter user Kyle T.
“Steve Jobs despised you and all that you stand for. His widow knows exactly how he wanted his billions spent”, responded Russel Manning.
Jobs apparently is a major financial supporter of Joe Biden, Trump’s opponent in the 2020 presidential election.
