Google searches for “I can’t smell” (a common Covid-19 symptom) skyrocketed

Loss of smell occurs with the common cold and other viral infections of the nose and throat.

Anecdotal reports suggest the loss of smell may be one of the first symptoms of COVID-19.

Doctors around the world are reporting that up to 70% of patients who test positive for the coronavirus disease COVID-19 – even those without fever, cough or other typical symptoms of the disease – are experiencing anosmia, a loss of smell, or ageusia, a loss of taste, according to Theconversation.com.

As COVID-19 pandemic is spreading across the US, a troubling trend seems to be arising on Google, number of searches for „I can’t smell anything“ has skyrocketed.

Troubling number of searches, according to Google trends, can be found in Michigan and Illinois where more than a 1,000 new cases of COVID-19 is confirmed yesterday.

  1. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just
your articles? I mean, what you say is important
and all. However think of if you added some great pictures or videos to give your posts more, “pop”!
Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this site could certainly be one of the best in its field.
    Fantastic blog!
