Everyone thought that Croatian footballer killed a chicken during a match, but the bird miraculously survives

Brutal Attack

Ivan Gazdek, 23-years old footballer from Croatia became infamous overnight after the media reported that he killed a chicken during a match in Croatia.

He was filmed brutally kicking a chicken after it entered the field and interrupted a match.

Everyone thought the chicken has died, seeing sheer power of the blow.

However, a great twist happened overnight.

It turns out that the chicken survived and was in hiding after being brutally kicked.

The owner of the chicken said for Croatian media that the animal returned to the henhouse the day after the incident.

Turns out the bird was hiding behind a barrel with corn whole night.

In the meantime, video showing Gazdek chasing after a group of hens that had run on to the pitch, before kicking a ginger-coloured one, vent viral.

In the video it is seen how, after kicking the chicken, he picks up the unconscious body and takes two attempts to throw it over a fence surrounding the pitch, sending up a plume of feathers.

Speaking to local news site 24 Sata, Gazdek said that immediately after the footage stopped the referee gave him a straight red card for ‘unsportsmanlike conduct’.

Explaining his actions, he added: ‘Believe me, it was not intentional. The result was far from certain at that moment and I was nervous.

“Chickens are constantly entering the field, so the game must be stopped. The terrain is full of faeces, these are unhygienic conditions.

I ran to the chickens a little to chase them away, I swung my foot and killed one by accident, f*** it”

A Craotian animal rights group said Wednesday it would file charges against Gazdinek.
