How to make NFTs via WordPress Site

Originally intended to timestamp digital documents for the sake of protecting them from tampering, Blockchain has come a long way since 2009 when it was put to a first time proper use.

It was adapted by Satoshi Nakamoto to create the digital currency that we now know as Bitcoin, and since then multiple Blockchain platforms emerged across the digital landscape.

Blockchain is spreading to all frontiers, from recording financial transactions to sharing of medical data, non-fungible tokens marketplaces, music royalties tracking, and many more.

One of the latest challenges in front of Blockchain developers is enabling widespread integration of Blockchain in WordPress, the world’s most popular content management system, currently powering more than a third of the entire web.

„Blockchain made easy“ is a slogan used by “WP Smart Contracts” team.

They have created a plugin which enables WordPress users to create their own digital coins and NFT collectables with just a few clicks.

With „WP Smart Contracts“ plugin, every WordPress user can deploy smart contracts via WordPress administration panel on multiple Blokchain networks (Ethereum mainnet, xDai Chain, Binance Smart Chain and Polygon (previously Matic) network).

Latest version of the plugin enables WordPress users to integrate NFT marketplaces in their websites where people can upload images, videos, audio and documents and turn them to non-fungible tokens.

Collectibles can then be transferred, stored, sold or auctioned in the marketplace.

As the „WP Smart Contracts“ team explained on Reddit, they have created a plugin that lets people create Smart Contracts on the fly with no programming skills.

„One of the biggest players in the Ethereum community has been OpenZeppelin, a company that has created a set of Solidity Smart Contracts that have become a de-facto standard in the community. With the above plugin users can deploy to the main Ethereum network, or to a test network most of the famous contracts by OpenZeppelin and others companies like Consensys which are the creators of Infura, a hosted Ethereum node cluster that allow any user to use Ethereum network without the need to run their own nodes“, the team explained.

As blogger Andy Mathews noted, Blockchain has just begun to touch the surface for the future development of the WordPress platform.

There is a lot of work-in-progress to make things happen.

But, at the end of the day, it feels great that the WordPress platform will eventually be able to exercise the potential of the Blockchain technology.
