A radiologist who lost his home in the earthquake decided the only thing he wanted to bring out from his ruined flat was his Liverpool FC poster

A radiologist at Zagreb clinic who lost his home in the earthquake in Croatia decided the only thing he wanted to bring out from his ruined apartment was his Liverpool FC poster.

His name is Bruno Loncarevic.

He works with COVID19 patients in Zagreb, but after his flat in Petrinja was destroyed in a devastating earthquake, he rushed there to salvage what he could.

“After the earthquake, all I could think about was how I would break into the apartment, take some goods on hand and this poster that was in a special place in my flat. It means a lot to me, as it means a lot to all Liverpool fans around the world. It was a stressful moment, I knew I didn’t have much time to save things from the apartment,” Lončarević explained to journalists who stubmled upon him when he was exiting his ruined flat.

2020 stressful for him.

He is one of many anxiety-ridden and overworked health-care workers in midst of COVID19 pandemic, and then an earthquake ruined his flat, on which he still has a mortgage.

“I feel quite shaken, a very traumatic event, it will take a long time to suppress it all“, he said.

Luckily, he has a place to stay.

„I’m with my family in an apartment in Zagreb that was given to me by colleagues from work”, he said for Croatian media.
